How to back up and restore an Azeroth Survivors save

Export an Azeroth Survivors .sav backup from Options → Saves. Check overwrite prompts, browser profiles and version limits before restoring your progress.

The short answer: export before you change anything

Open the original game at wow.aethus.pl in the browser profile that contains your progress. Go to Options → Saves and use its export control. Keep the downloaded .sav file before clearing site data, moving browsers or importing another save. The original save bridge gives exports an AzerothSurvivors filename with a date and time. This guide does not upload, inspect or store your save.

A game save and a RadiantGames favourite are different

The heart on a game picture saves its page address in this browser. It does not save heroes, equipment, unlocked content or an active run. The original game reads and writes progress in its own environment. A private window, another browser profile or a cleared site cannot be assumed to contain the same progress. Installing RadiantGames as an app also does not copy that game data.

Make a backup you can identify later

Export from the environment you normally play in, then check that the file has actually downloaded. Keep the original file intact and label separate copies for a move or update. A screenshot of a character is not a restorable save. Do not rename random text into .sav or use an unknown converter in the hope of repairing progress. A successful download proves that a file was received, not that every older build or Windows edition can import it.

Restore replaces progress rather than merging two characters

The original bridge describes checking the selected file and, after player confirmation, applying it as the current account’s progress. Back up the target environment too if it already holds something you want to keep. Read the overwrite warning before confirming. The file picker accepts .sav and .txt; changing an extension is not a conversion or compatibility fix. This review did not test destructive import with a player’s saved data.

Moving browsers, computers or Windows editions

Export on the old environment and keep that original backup. On the destination, use the original game’s Saves interface and read its current import instructions. Browser and Windows builds are separate environments, and we have not verified every cross-version transfer. The Windows archive itself is not a save backup. Do not overwrite your only working file or guess an internal client save path from a different game.

If progress seems missing

First check the original address, browser and profile, and whether the game is running in a private window. Inspect any backup or restore choices that the current game itself exposes before deleting anything. If site data has already been removed and no usable local backup remains, a favourite, screenshot or installed shortcut cannot recreate a character. Keep the exported file and seek the original project’s current guidance instead of repeatedly importing unverified files.
