Open the browser game by Orteil
The play button opens orteil.dashnet.org/cookieclicker in its own tab. Its current browser menu offers a language selector, Options, Stats, Info and Legacy. During this review the project displayed version 2.058; the maintainer can update it independently of this page.
Choose the interface language you want before settling into a session. The game has its own language setting, separate from the language of this RadiantGames guide. The browser game, Steam release and Android release are separate destinations.
Make the first purchases readable
Begin with the large cookie and watch the available store choices. A purchase trades a number of cookies now for a change in production or clicking. Compare the price with what the description adds instead of buying only because an item is newly visible.
Check whether the store is set to Buy or Sell and whether its quantity is 1, 10 or 100 before confirming a purchase. A surprising total can come from a bulk quantity rather than a broken counter.
Back up before changing browsers
The official game’s Options menu offers save export controls. Use its own export or file-save route and keep a copy you can find again before clearing browser data, changing profiles or moving to a new device. A RadiantGames bookmark only remembers the link.
Do not paste a save string into a public comment or an unrelated tool. Return to the original game and follow its import instructions when restoring. An open browser tab is not the same thing as an independent backup.
Separate a new start from advanced progression
Legacy and ascension belong to the game’s progression systems. You do not need to reset a new bakery just because the button is present. Read the game’s current explanation of what changes before committing to that route.
If you came looking for a mobile version, use the project’s own Android link rather than assuming the desktop browser interface and the app have identical saves or features. Keep the source and version consistent when following a guide.
