Azeroth Survivors Priest build: compare three talent routes

Compare the original Priest’s Shadow, Discipline and Holy milestones. Plan your next talent points, check prerequisites and separate sustain from damage claims.

Owen Carter · RadiantGames operator · Original v0.135.1 checked 1 November 2026

Which Priest build should you work toward?

Choose a milestone in one tree before spreading a small point budget across all three. The original Priest has Discipline, Holy and Shadow. Shadow is the route to inspect for its shadow-focused milestones; Discipline leads toward Penance, while Holy leads toward Chastise. These are verified menu paths, not a measured best-build ranking.

This guide checks the original v0.135.1 menu on 1 November 2026. A similarly named talent in another World of Warcraft game is not evidence for its numbers here. Read the current tooltip and prerequisite before committing points, especially after an update.

The panel describes rows opening with five-point steps within a tree and a maximum of 51 points. Named talents can also have prerequisites. Respecs are free, and talent experience belongs to the selected class. A milestone label is not a complete legal allocation on its own.

Shadow: work toward a coherent spell route

Shadow’s checked milestones are Shadow Weaving, Shadowy Apparitions and Shadowform. Choose which milestone your current point budget can actually reach, then inspect its prerequisite chain. Do not split points just because a different tree offers an immediately clickable icon: that can leave the route you wanted unfinished.

During the next attempt, compare the abilities you actually obtain with the plan you made. Record whether you struggled with scattered enemies, a crowded wave or a boss. Those are different problems; a shadow-themed name does not establish that a talent solves all three.

Discipline: distinguish a defensive plan from proven damage

Discipline leads through Divine Aegis and Rapture toward Penance in the inspected menu. Read what the live talents do for the abilities available in your run before assuming the tree is exclusively a healer or automatically a solo damage build. The current game’s tooltip is the reference.

If you are testing whether the route makes attempts steadier, keep the map, difficulty and equipment similar. Note both survival and encounter progress. Lasting longer while never finishing the encounter should not be treated as a faster or more effective farming build.

Holy: inspect Radiance, Purifying Flame and Chastise

Holy’s checked sequence is Radiance, Purifying Flame and Chastise. Decide on the next milestone, count the points needed in that tree and read any linked requirement. Do not infer exact healing intervals, damage multipliers or unlimited sustain from those names: this page has not benchmarked those coefficients.

A route is easier to learn when each attempt answers one question. Keep the previous working allocation in your notes, make a purposeful change and compare several attempts under similar conditions. Changing talents, gear and difficulty together makes the result difficult to interpret.

Talent points, run upgrades and gear are separate choices

The class earns talent experience through runs; the panel mentions time survived, kills, bosses and wins. It displays three Spec slots and free respecs. An empty new Priest does not begin with a fully allocated 51-point build, so plan for the points you have rather than treating a finished screenshot as an opening requirement.

Gear changes can affect the same attempt you use to judge a talent. Keep those comparisons separate, and consult the Marks and gear-star guide when the question concerns equipment progression. This guide does not claim a tested best-in-slot set or a guaranteed boss clear.

Keep a recovery path and choose the next guide

Export a backup through the original Options → Saves menu before moving browsers or experimenting with a restore. A RadiantGames favourite stores this page’s link, not the Priest’s equipment or talent allocation. The save guide explains that distinction.

For another ranged route, compare the Mage guide; for other classes, return to the build overview. If the original game will not start, use browser and download help before changing a build that never had a chance to run.
